Innovation Partners is excited to welcome our newest team member, Chris Scotti, who will be serving as our Director of New Ventures, while continuing to chair the Texas A&M New Ventures Competition. Chris is a serial entrepreneur and long-time supporter of the innovation ecosystem in Texas, most recently serving as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station’s office of Commercialization & Entrepreneurship. He has over 25 years of experience founding, growing and coaching emerging technology companies through relationships with private businesses and economic development organizations, as well as government and research institutions. Chris’s biggest strength is the ability to play in both the technical and business worlds, and act as a connector between the two. He is a frequent speaker to students and faculty at Texas A&M University about entrepreneurship and raising capital and is also a regular judge, panelist, and mentor in entrepreneur and emerging technology focused state and national events. Chris has a history as both an elected official and entrepreneur, and is dedicated to helping coach companies and foster the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Aggieland and Texas as a whole.
In his new role, leveraging the TNVC program and relationships he brings with him through a unique agreement between TEES & Innovation Partners, Chris will be focused on activities that will fuel consistent growth of the volume and the quality of startup companies based on Texas A&M University technologies and intellectual property. He will lead the expansion of partnerships with internal and external stakeholders aimed at the creation of, investment in, and growth of new ventures, develop and implement programs and services for new ventures, and support other key priorities related to new ventures programs. We are thrilled to have Chris on board and look forward to seeing the impact of the background and expertise he brings to our office.
